The Dawn"Creating The Dawn of a New Business Era" is the strategic goal of the Te Atatu Peninsula Business Association Inc. This ties in with the recent formation of the Association, with the Business Improvement District project, and also with the fascinating appropriateness of our community's name, Te Atatu Peninsula. In Maori, "ata tu" means "Just after sunrise", that first part of the day when light shines, energy flows, direction, hope, action, achievement all become possible. Many other meanings also can be drawn, "tu ata" meaning "early in the morning," and "atatuhi", meaning the "red glow of dawn" (Sally-Anne Lambert).
We have chosen "www.thedawn.net.nz" for our web address, not just to acknowledge the meaning of Te Atatu, but also to signal the energy, the commitment, the beginning of a new era for business and the community in Te Atatu Peninsula.
